How long has Hunter operated mobile bottling units

Hunter Bottling was established in the Niagara, Ontario wine region in 2000 and since then has bottled more than 400,000 cases of wine for small to large wineries.  Hunter currently has two mobile bottling trucks and a third truck is coming on line in Fall 2014.  We have recently expanded into Virginia, North Carolina and Maine.

Do you bottle at small and large wineries?

We will bottle for wineries producing between 1,000 and 25,000 bottles, from 200ml ice wine to 1.5ml still wine and rose. We can bottle between 1,500 and 1,800 cases per day.

How much space does your mobile bottling truck need?

Our larger truck requires 18.2 meters (60 feet) clearance from front to back. The truck is 12 meters (40 feet) with a 6 meter (20 foot) roller.
Our smaller truck is 6.7 meters (22 feet) enclosed Alvan trailer housing the equipment.

Do you need an electrical hook-up?

We need a 100 Amp 208Volt 3 phase 5 wire Hubbell 5100 receptacle where the truck will be setting up.
If your winery doesn’t have 3 Phase power you can rent a generator minimum 45 KW from your local rental shop.

How many people does the winery need on bottling day?

Staffing is one of the most important components to obtaining maximum run speed. One winery staff member must be the point person. This individual should be familiar with the location of all bottling components and supplies necessary to the bottling. This person is often the winemaker or forklift operator.  The following set-up details will allow you to determine the number of staff will be required.
